The 37-meter-long Alsuraya is an upscale mid-range dive safari ship that was launched in 2024. The ship impresses with a particularly well-thought-out safety concept, as the hull is made of steel, which benefits stability on the water and statics. Furthermore, there are no below-deck cabins. All cabins are located on the main or upper deck and are, of course, equipped with smoke detectors and fire extinguishers. The particularly powerful, large dive boats (the Alsuraya has two) are also part of the safety concept (along with two life rafts), as is the ENOS diver location system used for diving. In addition, the crew is very well trained and receives regular training.

Another highlight is the culinary offerings aboard the Alsuraya. Using fresh ingredients, sophisticated techniques, and a genuine love of cooking, the chef conjures up dishes that are not only filling but also delight the taste buds. The day begins with a rich breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired – oven-fresh bread and pastries, muesli, fresh fruit, and egg dishes, prepared according to individual tastes. At lunchtime, guests can enjoy a varied buffet with international and regional specialties, fresh salads, and vegetarian alternatives. Every dish is prepared with care, freshness, and a keen sense of taste. In the evening, guests enjoy a lovingly composed multi-course dinner that combines the finest ingredients with creative presentation. Whether tender grilled meat, aromatic fish, or vegetarian delicacies – there is something for everyone here. In between meals, fresh fruit, small snacks, and light appetizers are available at the bar at any time so that divers can refresh and recharge around the clock. Meals are served in the spacious dining room on the lower deck, which is, of course, air-conditioned.

The air-conditioned salon is located on the main deck and is the perfect place to relax between dives, socialize, and enjoy your time on board. With cozy sofas and comfortable armchairs, it invites you to read, chat, or simply relax. Large panoramic windows let in plenty of daylight and offer exciting views of the Red Sea.

The stylish relaxation area with bar on the upper deck invites you to linger. Whether enjoying a cool drink, chatting with other divers, or taking in the view, here you can relax in the shade and enjoy the fresh sea breeze. Just a few steps away, the spacious sun deck offers comfortable loungers and shaded areas – ideal for sunbathing, reading, or taking a nap between dives. Alcoholic beverages (local beer and wine) are available for purchase. Wi-Fi is available on board free of charge.

The Alsuraya has eight comfortable double cabins, three suites, and one budget cabin for up to 24 guests, each equipped with individually adjustable air conditioning, private bathroom with panoramic window, and ample storage space. Of the eight standard double cabins, four are located on the main deck and four on the upper deck. All are furnished with twin single beds.

Two of the three suites are located on the sun deck. Situated on the highest deck of the yacht, they each offer a comfortable double bed, direct access to the outdoors, and breathtaking views of the sea. The upper deck suite offers the utmost comfort and exclusive privacy. Equipped with a luxurious king-size bed, it offers direct, private access from the outside deck and a fantastic view of the Red Sea.

Finally, the ship has a slightly smaller cabin with bunk beds on the upper deck, which is also ideal for solo travelers.

The particularly spacious diving deck was designed specifically for divers and offers maximum comfort, safety, and well-thought-out organization. Every diver has enough space to prepare comfortably. The large diving platform allows for safe and smooth entry and exit, even in groups. Plenty of space for wetsuits, towels, and cameras round off the comfort before and after dives.

Instead of conventional Zodiacs, the Alsuraya is equipped with two custom-built speedboats that offer more space, comfort, and safety. Each boat is powered by two 85 hp outboard motors, ensuring reliable and efficient transfers to the dive sites. Well-designed features such as secure bottle holders and storage space for equipment ensure a smooth and well-organized process. Diving is carried out using the ENOS diver location system, a highly useful safety system that is rarely used on board liveaboard vessels in the Red Sea. Nitrox is available free of charge with the appropriate certification.

Route & solar eclipse: We have planned a St. Johns Tour. On August 2nd, 2027, the day of the solar eclipse of the century, the ship will anchor at a reef system directly along the central line of the totality zone, southeast of Berenice. The length of the total phase there will be an extraordinary 6 minutes & 20 seconds, only three seconds less than the maximum of totality in the desert southeast of the Upper Egyptian city of Luxor. The event will last approximately 2 hours & 45 minutes from the beginning of the partial eclipse.
You have the truly unique opportunity to experience the solar eclipse in combination with an underwater dive, or you can observe this extremely rare phenomenon on the sun deck of the ship.
Eye protection: Observing a solar eclipse without protective filters (solar eclipse glasses) can lead to serious and permanent damage to the eyes, including blindness. HERE you will find expert tips on how to protect your eyes.
