The hotel at a glance

The 4* Basma Hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from the center of Aswan, not far from the banks of the Nile. It is situated on the highest hill in the city and offers a unique view of the Nile, the west bank, and the city. The interesting Nubian Museum is located directly behind the hotel, and the Afro-Arab bazaar of Aswan is only a few minutes' walk along the banks of the Nile. The hotel is modeled on the Nubian style with its colorful furnishings, murals, and colorful mosaics in the public indoor areas, and a tropical-style garden extends towards the banks of the Nile.

The hotel offers a buffet restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as an à la carte restaurant. The predominantly local and international dishes can be enjoyed in a spacious dining room or on the terrace overlooking the Nile. Two bars, which also serve alcoholic beverages, round off the offerings. A relatively large pool with sun loungers and parasols offers refreshment on hot days and a view of the Nile cataract and Elephantine Island. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the complex.

The rooms

Das Basma Hotel verfügt über insgesamt 210 Zimmer und Suiten in verschiedenen Kategorien. Standard Zimmer werden mit Stadtblick, Poolblick oder Nilblick angeboten und befinden sich auf den unteren Stockwerken. Die Deluxe Executive Zimmer verfügen über Nilblick, sind auf den oberen Stockwerken untergebracht und sind neuer wie die Standard Zimmer. Alle Zimmer sind komfortabel eingerichtet und verfügen über Klimaanlage, Minibar, TV und eigenes Bad.

Zwei Arten von Suiten bietet das Hotel auf den obersten Stockwerken: Suiten mit zwei Schlafzimmern (eines mit Doppelbett und großem Badezimmer und eines mit zwei Einzelbetten und kleinerem Badezimmer sowie einer Küchenzeile) und Suiten mit einem Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett), Wohnraum und Kochnische. Beide Arten von Suiten verfügen über eine Veranda mit herrlichem Blick auf den Nil.
