The accommodation at a glance

El Beit Ecolodge is a traditional Egyptian two-bedroom house located in a rural area south of the village of El Baeirat on the west bank of the Nile. The accommodation, which can sleep up to four guests, is perfect for a family or a small group of friends. The Ecolodge combines traditional Egyptian architecture with eco-friendly design. Natural materials, warm earth tones, and handcrafted details create a harmonious atmosphere where you immediately feel welcome. An oasis of tranquility, nestled in the lush green landscape among the farmland of the local fellahin.

The Nile riverbank, with the nearby “Banana Island,” is about 250 meters away, and the town of Al Baeirat—which offers good shopping—is a 30-minute walk away. There, you’ll also find small motorboats available around the clock that will take you (for about one euro per trip) to the opposite bank in Luxor. The numerous sights on the West Bank (such as the Valley of the Kings) are about a 20-minute drive away.

In addition to the two bedrooms, the accommodation features a spacious bathroom with a shower, a separate toilet, and a living room with a sofa, a stereo system, and a large wooden table where guests can also eat. The built-in kitchenette is equipped with a kettle, toaster, blender, induction cooktop, oven, microwave, and a refrigerator. An outdoor stove allows you to cook outside as well. The property also features a washing machine, an ironing board, and an iron. The rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with ceiling fans. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

El Beit Ecolodge is designed for self-catering (there’s a small grocery store practically around the corner), but there are also several options nearby for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For example, at the “Queen Restaurant & Café,” about 50 meters away, or at the “Hotel Al Bairat,” approximately 250 meters away (with whom we have been collaborating for many years), located right on the riverbank with a magnificent view of the Nile. Additionally, there is the option to have a freshly prepared breakfast and dinner delivered to your accommodation. A special highlight is the green courtyard with tropical-looking plants, a pool, and shaded seating—ideal for relaxing after an eventful day.

The rooms

El Beit Ecolodge features two bedrooms that are comfortably furnished and reflect the local charm. The master bedroom features a four-poster bed, and the second bedroom is furnished with two single beds. Both rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with handmade wardrobes and nightstands, as well as ceiling fans.
